Quality Chops Pet Services. Effective from 18 August 2025.
1. Meet and greets
- Walking: Meet and greets at the client's home, including a free short trial walk with the owner present.
- Daycare and boarding: Meet and greets at our weekly naturality and obedience class (book via our website). We'll chat before and after class.
2. Trial stays (daycare and boarding)
- Trial stays apply to daycare and boarding only.
- They allow us to assess whether your dog is happy and settled in our care.
- Trial stays are charged at the normal rate.
3. Registration form
- All clients must complete our registration form via Google Docs before using any service.
- The registration form includes Veterinary Release Consent and owner permissions (Animal Welfare Regulations).
- The form must be renewed annually. Services will not be provided if the form is not current.
- By completing the registration form, you are legally agreeing to and bound by these terms and conditions.
4. Vaccinations and illness policy
- Dogs must be up to date with core vaccinations (parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis).
- Kennel cough:
- Nasal: must be given at least 4 weeks before attending (live vaccine; easily spread).
- Injection: accepted with no waiting period.
- We recommend the injectable version to avoid disruption.
- If a dog becomes ill while in our care, the owner or emergency contact may be asked to collect immediately; no refund given.
- We may refuse future bookings if a dog repeatedly arrives unwell or without up-to-date vaccinations.
5. Behaviour
- We cannot accept dogs with severe aggression, severe separation anxiety, indoor marking, or excessive barking.
- Excessive humping of dogs or people is not acceptable.
- Adolescent entire males are not accepted for boarding or daycare.
- We may refuse or terminate services if:
- Information has been withheld or misrepresented,
- A vet or physio advises a dog is medically unfit to participate, or
- Behaviour poses a risk to people, dogs, or property.
6. Drop-off and collection
Daycare and day train
- Morning drop-off: 7:30 to 8:30am
- Afternoon collection: 4:30 to 6:00pm
Boarding (including residential training)
- Drop-off: 4:30 to 6:00pm
- Collection: 7:30 to 8:30am
- AM drop-off on the first day or PM collection on the last day = daycare rate, must be booked in advance.
Late and early fees (all services)
- £5 per 15 minutes outside stated times.
- Collection after 8:00pm is charged as an additional overnight stay.
Sundays
- Closed for drop-off and collection.
- Services still run as normal for dogs already in our care.
7. Payments and cancellations
Regular monthly services (daycare, training, walking):
- Invoices sent 1 week before month-end; due by the last day of the month in advance of the following month.
Non-regular services (boarding, residential training, ad-hoc training):
- 50% non-refundable booking fee to secure.
- Balance due 1 month before arrival.
General:
- Prices: www.qualitychops.com
- Boarding discount: £10 per dog, per night for dogs from the same household.
- Puppy surcharge (boarding and daycare): under 12 months.
- Late payment: £25 per day; continued non-payment may cancel future services.
- Services purchased via our website are non-refundable.
Cancellations (all services):
- 1 month's notice required.
- Once paid, bookings cannot be cancelled.
- Changes or additions within the same calendar month only, subject to availability and our discretion.
8. Property and cleaning
- Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their dog to our home or van.
- If a dog toilets or vomits indoors or in the van, a £25 cleaning fee per incident applies.
- Exception: puppies up to 6 months are not charged the cleaning fee for indoor toileting accidents.
9. Feeding and sleeping
Feeding
- Owners must provide food; we follow your routine where possible.
- Dogs are fed separately; refrigeration and freezer available; bowls provided by us.
- Note any allergies or special diets on the registration form.
- Chews may be given under supervision only.
Sleeping
- We provide beds, crates, blankets, and soft furnishings; we prefer to use our own for hygiene.
- Owners may bring familiar blankets (no beds).
- Dogs are never mixed for sleeping or left unattended together, unless siblings at owner request.
- If bedding (ours or yours) is soiled or damaged, a £25 cleaning or replacement fee per incident applies.
10. Walking, exercise and enrichment (daycare and boarding)
- All dogs are walked on-lead unless off-lead permission is signed in the registration pack.
- Dogs are mostly walked in groups.
- Up to 2 daily walks, weather permitting.
- Enrichment activities provided to keep dogs mentally stimulated.
- We build to off-lead gradually (lead, attached long line, free long line, off-lead if appropriate).
- Dogs are put back on lead if recall, handling, or safety is a concern, even with consent.
- We will only let a dog off lead if the owner has signed permission in the registration pack.
11. Grooming
- Dogs' nails must be kept trimmed. If nails are not maintained, we will take the dog to a groomer for trimming.
- If a dog is matted or soils themselves (for example rolls in faeces or vomit), we will book a groom for comfort, welfare, and hygiene.
- Grooming costs are the owner's responsibility. We will try to inform you beforehand; if not possible, we may proceed in the best interests of your dog and our household.
12. Termination of services
- If your dog displays sustained aggressive, destructive, or unsafe behaviours that were not disclosed during the meet and greet or registration, or if we discover that you have withheld or misrepresented information about your dog, we reserve the right to terminate any service with immediate effect.
- We may also terminate a booking or service if a qualified veterinarian, physiotherapist, or other professional advises that your dog is medically unfit to participate in a specific service (for example walking, daycare, training, or boarding).
13. Veterinary care
- Boarding only: Owners must notify their own veterinary practice that their dog will be in our care during the booking period.
- Veterinary Release Consent is included in the registration form.
- If a vet advises that a dog is medically unfit to continue a service, it will be stopped immediately and no refund will be given.
14. What Quality Chops provides (all services)
- Safe, loving, structured environment; dogs are never left alone.
- Secure home and garden.
- Structure: walks, enrichment, rest, training support.
- Socialisation with other dogs.
- Bedding, food prep, fresh water, and medication administration as instructed (no extra cost).
- Updates via Instagram and Facebook.
- Photo and video consent: By using our services, you consent to your dog appearing on our social media unless you request otherwise in writing.
15. What owners provide
- Food (for full stay or service), any medication, collar with ID tag, and a secure lead.
- Optional: familiar blankets (we prefer to use our own bedding).
- Record allergies and special requirements on the registration form.
- We ask for honesty and transparency about your dog's behaviour, needs, and history.
- All dogs must arrive wearing a collar with ID tag and a lead.
16. Canine development and support
- We are experienced trainers in canine handling and behaviour.
- If behaviour is unsafe or unsuitable, we may refuse or terminate services.
- We will provide feedback and, where appropriate, recommend other trainers or behaviourists or offer support via our own training services.
17. Licensing, insurance, qualifications and training
- Licensed by Buckinghamshire Council (Licence No: LC202209-79402).
- Valid: 14 December 2024 to 13 December 2027. 5-star.
- Public liability insured.
- Ofqual L3 Professional Daycare and Boarding (IMDT).
- Ongoing CPD, including Animal First Aid and Canine Body Language.
- Licence and insurance documents available to view on request.
18. Updates to terms and conditions
- The latest version of our terms and conditions is always published on www.qualitychops.com.
- We may notify clients of major updates, but it is the owner's responsibility to review and stay up to date with the current version.
- Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest terms and conditions.
